Political activist standing in the rain.  None of the photos turned out because of how heavy the rain was so I added a filter to the photo to make it usable; it seemed important to use this photo since he said I could.

Despite the overall lack of rain this year, it is still rainy season in Tokyo.  Lunchtime snap.

It's hydrangea season in Japan.  The colors here are much more varied than I'm used to; bright pinks, purples and blues.  I didn't think hydrangeas were native to Japan, but apparently they are.  It would make sense considering the variety.

Rainy day, but at least we have clear plastic umbrellas in Japan.

A sunken restaurant patio behind Shinjuku's Center Building.  In the rain.  Why does everything look better in the lonely rain?

We're officially in the rainy season now.  I and my rain boots are ready.  Well, mostly ready.

Some of the buildings have cool textures on the walls.  Cities are such great places.

A path on my way to work.  It looked so sad and lonely, wet with the rain.

Raining again in Tokyo today. These are near my train station instead. There were some lovely yellow roses I shot in front of the streetcar tracks again but decided a different venue would be better. There's something about raindrops on flowers. Raindrops on roses, as the song goes.

The irises near the streetcar tracks almost rival the beauty of the roses. While I've given a lot of attention to the roses in my other media this is the first time I've mentioned the irises.
